50 years

The dream began in 1952 for the Fazari family.  They left their town of San Giorgio Morgeto in Reggio, Calabria bound for Canada and their destiny.  On April 7, 1952, Domenic Fazari arrived from Naples, Italy aboard the Saturnia at Pier 21 in Halifax, Nova Scotia and made his way to Toronto. His brothers, Pasquale, Mike and Jack, followed shortly after.

Pasquale (or Pat as he is affectionately referred to) and Teresa Fazari settled their family in Toronto, first on Gore Street and later on Manning Avenue.  While exploring career opportunities, he soon realized a fascination for the hardwood flooring business.

Pat’s Flooring was founded and they began installing hardwood flooring in new homes in the area.  Slowly, their reputation as reliable and trustworthy installers grew among the builders.  Pat and his brothers achieved the dream of many new immigrants: success in their new country.

As his family grew up, one more dream had yet to be realized: joining together with his children in a new business venture.  In 2004, Pasquale passed the torch to his son Joe. The celebration ushered in a new era and, soon, a new prosperity.

Congratulations Pat Fazari!  We lift our glasses and toast your 50th year in the hardwood flooring business!
